KODA Walking Concrete

The KODA Walking Concrete has made its way to the World Architecture Festival’s shortlist of the best “Small Projects” in 2016. It’s entirely mobile and can be unassembled and reassembled if it needs to move to a new location. Kodasema, the company that built it, designed the two-tiered home so that it can be constructed in as little as four hours. The plain design allows it to operate as whatever space is required, be it an office, beach house, mountain hut, or café.
The Matchbox House

Jay Austin, the artist who designed and built a 150 square foot himself and called it the Matchbox. It’s not just small, but his house is also mobile. Jay has lived in three different areas using the same small house. Moreover, the house is also eco-friendly and self-sustaining, it depends primarily on solar energy.
The most notable feature of the interior design is the plentiful ray of sunlight, and its walls have huge windows that bring the outside in. Its bed is nicely placed in a loft, where you can see the skylight that allows you to gaze at the stars.

Interestingly, this house is built by a group of three architecture students. They wanted it to be a movable residence for one person. The use of natural fair wood in the interior design makes the place look more spacious than it really is. The entire house measures a total area of just 8 square meters, so it’s really for just one person.

Its contractor, Arthur Weeden, built this house when discovered the small empty lot between two normal-sized houses and decided to make use of it.

This futuristic tiny home was a collaboration between architects Tomas Zacek and Sona Pohlova. Aside from being unique, it’s self-sustaining also as it generates its own power, and acquires water from its surroundings. It was constructed for two people to live off the grid for up to a year. Today, the company is entertaining pre-orders for the first 50 homes, each starting at roughly $90,000.
