However, Crossover Mac, a commercial fork of WINE by a company called Codeweavers, does. In fact, Crossover Mac apparently works well enough that some Windows first-person shooter games can run on an M1 Mac:
Crossover will run x86 Windows apps on an M1 Mac, which if you think about it is no trivial feat. It relies heavily on some deep voodoo with Apple Rosetta 2, Apple’s built-in x86 emulation.
You can also run Windows in a VM like Parallels, but not x86 Windows; Parallels will only run Windows for ARM.
