The short answer is: yes.
The longer answer is: Yes, and you’d be surprised what you or someone else really does or really doesn’t know. Sometimes you think someone doesn’t know… and then they do. Sometimes you think you know, but then you don’t. Sometimes you’ll consider yourself the expert in one area just because you have much expertise in another. Sometimes a person will humble themselves in one’s own area of expertise by asking the lesser-or-non-expert questions to learn new ways of thinking about a subject.
The longer answer goes on, and on, and on… and I think rightly so because no one, and I mean no one except for God, is so much an expert that there isn’t more to learn. And that’s what separates an expert from a newb —- the kind of curiosity that believes there’s still something more to know. Of course this is just my opinion.
