This is a risk management question. Without diving into ISO31000 and to keep it simple lets assume the aliens want to enslave us or kill us (an equally plausible scenario is that they want to teach us about the secret of eternal life and happiness). Literotica readers will be aware many people think they have an entirely different set of intentions 🧐
If you look at the impact of all humans being killed by aliens I would rate it as ‘catastrophic’ but the likelihood based on known history is extremely low or rare – so the risk rating is ‘high’
On the other hand the likelihood of other catastrophic events such as environmental disaster or a new disease wiping out millions (who would have thought!) is, I would think ‘unlikely’ which still gives them a much higher risk rating of ‘extreme’. So there are at least two scenarios more warranting a risk mitigation strategy than the alien invasion (besides; Elon has already invaded and it’s not so bad…..).
