They tried a compatibility mode but the cost in performance made it unworkable.
Disregard claims Microsoft wasn’t paying as much as competing platforms, they were paying more in residuals and they were actually paying developers to Port apps over.
They couldn’t get enough content.
The Microsoft phone was clearly the best smoothest running platform given similar hardware, I myself couldn’t switch because they didn’t have the apps that I needed on my phone, for instance they didn’t have the real time OBD monitor I need for my sports car so I was forced to keep an Android even though I had my Windows.
