Chernobyl is probably way up there.
They don’t expect anyone to be able to inhabit that area for thousands of years. And seeing as things are going, humanity probably won’t be around at that time.
They’ve warded off the entire area.
For a recap, it was caused because of a power surge (during a test, which also involved several protocol violations) which then caused a chain reaction inside of the reactor.
It was a total and massive disaster, the entire surrounding area can’t be gone near anymore. Lots of people died in the process.
The other weird thing is that there’s this huge dog population that now lives in that zone:
Very post-apocalyptic. Dogs seem to do OK in this area. And there are people who seem to shuffle food their way.
Yeah, so as a general rule of thumb: follow the rules at nuclear power plants.
