Overlooking that Apple comes with hype for everything it’s power savings and the ability to make a more compact devise.
The M1 ARM chip is great at somethings and not so good at others. If you like the Mac OS it’s great. Fast, long battery life and decent if not great graphics. I used one for an hour and was impressed with the way it worked.
The draw back to it is it ties you more into the Apple ecosystem. Not a bad thing if the OS does what you want. Win 10 runs poorly on it and graphics are slow. In fairness I will point out that Win 10 for the ARM chip won’t run well on the Surface laptop that Microsoft sells.
