No one knows the answer to that. The way I see it, Snapchat isn’t even popular now. That doesn’t mean it won’t regain popularity in the future, Twitter & Facebook are some fo the only examples we can use as references to a decade ago. Twitter was popular in its initial stages, it lost popularity over time and regained alot more in the past 4 or so years. Since Twitter’s launch we’ve gotten several social platforms, very few are similar to Twitter. Both Twitter and Facebook has changed drastically since their launch, with tonnes of new features and uses that keeps their users coming back.
With both Instagram and TikTok having filters and TikTok being the major player in the Short video industry. Snapchat has very few unique features such as their Disappearing messages (which WhatsApp has) and the things that make it Snapchat such as like snaps and snap streaks.
The determining factor of whether or not Snapchat will be popular in 10 years is whether or not it’s users will find it useful by then or will it be obsolete.
