Basically Decanter Centrifuge removes solid matter from the liquid substance, like a water purifier. It usually consists of an inclined rotating drum. The food or liquid substance is fed to the drum through a feed pipe, with the action of centrifugal force, the heavier insoluble particles of impurities and solid are thrown out at the periphery of the drum by the fluid, and sedimentation occurs in compartments. Sidewall baffles may be provided to give additional support for the melt walls. DECANTER CENTRIFUGE hence helps in removing dirt, air bubble/gas pockets from concerning liquids.
The centrifuge is divided into four main sections
centrifugal separator is the point of contact between the feed slurry and the bowl. It can be seen as a vortex which accelerates the feed slurry to conveyor speed. The inlet zone plays a crucial role in sediment suspension, and its correct design reduces intensity of wear and tear on separation bowl and wear ring and contributes to low operation costs over years of production. Here Sharp Engineering Provides best HIGH SPEED CENTRIFUGE.
Conveyors are an essential element of bulk material handling, and they are found in almost every industry. Screw conveyors in particular retain their popularity owing to their low cost, ease of maintenance, and versatility.
Solids discharge section
The solids discharge section’s main function is to ensure that the cake of separated solids is pushed forward. The solid discharge section design can vary from simple bottom scrapers (scraper gears) to ejectors. The ideal situation is to avoid any not fully separated solids being deposited back onto the belt.
Liquid discharge section
In the diagram of a two-phase decanter, the two-phase liquid discharged from the bottom of the decanter into a separate regulating or boosting pump. The liquid phase is discharged over a series of dam plates and each phase is discharged into a baffled receiving tank located below the decanter.
